Lakker shares latest video for ‘Mountain Divide’

Lakker

Following up on their R&S Records debut, ‘Containing a Thousand,’ Lakker return with the ‘Mountain Divide EP’ (out now on 12″ / DL). The opening track Mountain Divide is super powerful with a thumping bass, juddering noise, and howling feedback, layered with fizzing drums “like screaming into the wind on the top of a mountain,” in the words of Lakker themselves. Watch the video for the track via YouTube below.

Math Fall is built around a lolloping bass sequence, grimy beats, and vocal chatter. Listen to the track below via Soundcloud.

Monla rounds out the release in a more introspective mood, with pitch bent chords washing together like Boards Of Canada heard through a broken tube-radio.

Having a background in punk, metal and broken beat as well as noise and techno helps give Lakker their truly unique and uncompromising sound. Currently touring and hard at work on their debut LP, I am sure we will b hearing more from Lakker soon.
