Bind is the second single lifted from Russian Baths’ new LP, ‘Mirror,’ out June 14th. It follows Split. Watch the video clip for Bind via YouTube below.

Russian Baths fuses the abrasive sounds of New York in the eighties, the angular outbursts of DC hardcore, shoegaze’s torrents of noise and the suffocating anxiety of the Information Age. One part horror movie soundtrack, and one part personal confession, the band’s music is at once imposing and intimate.

Bind premiered on FLOOD Magazine who noted it, “plays with horror-film conventions as the band’s signature gothic take on noise rock unravels from a frantic 7/4 time signature into an uneasy final 90 seconds of instrumental panic.”

The band shares, “It’s all a sinking ship that keeps pressing onward. The lyrics seem to touch on historical grievances, from witch hunts to trials at sea, all of them connected by misguided vengeance desperate to escape the past but doomed to repeat it.”

Bind is produced and mixed by Jeff Berner (Psychic TV, Activity, Stuy) and mastered by Sarah Register (Protomartyr, Kim Gordon, Wye Oak).
