Hey Mother Death will be releasing their acclaimed debut album ‘Highway’ via Paper Bag Records on July 10th – pre-order Highway here. In the lead-up to the release, the band have revealed a number of remixes including Snake Power by Jay Crocker (listen) and The Hills by Chuck Blazevic (listen). Now, they have released the remix by Matthew Samway of the album’s title track – listen to it via Soundcloud below.

“All of the remixes we commissioned for Paper Bag Records’ worldwide physical release of our Highway LP showcase the visionary community of musicians from Nova Scotia. None the more then Matthew Samway whose ambitious projects range from his solo project under his own name to Electric Voice Records and the Obey Convention. We liked the work so much, we sampled it for our live performances.”

Hey Mother Death recorded Highway in Nova Scotia and France and mixed it with Bill Skibbe at the Key Club Recording Studio in Michigan, on Sly Stone’s Flickinger console from There’s A Riot Going On. The album was mastered in London, England by Mandy Parnell (Björk).  Watch the duo’s breathtaking, JF Julian-directed video for the title track here.

Track list:

The Hills 6:02
