Magic Potion reveal new single ‘Jelly’

Magic Potion

To prep us for their debut album ‘Pink Gum’ set for release on May 27th via PNKSLM Recordings, Stockholm’s Magic Potion reveal their new single Jelly. The track is available now and combines ‘70s flecked guitars, harmonic synthesizers, and psychedelic influences, Jelly is highlighted by the band’s trademark version of warped out slacker pop.

The band comments: “Jelly was one of the first songs we wrote together as a band and the last song we recorded for the album. It’s a somewhat Yeats-y story about losing edge and mind, and has a yummy breezy bubble part in which the sample was recorded in a bathtub.”

After making waves in the spring of 2015 with their critically acclaimed ‘Melt’ EP, the band spent a full year in their Stockholm studio self-recording and producing ‘Pink Gum’ in true DIY spirit.  Recorded on an old quarter inch reel-to-reel, the band takes an eccentric approach on ‘Pink Gum’ and emerge with a work that radiates a warm, refreshing vibe just in time for summer.  The album + 100 limited edition pink vinyl and 400 white vinyl are now available for pre-order at the PNKSLM Online Store.
