Yoni & Geti (aka Yoni Wolf of WHY? and Chicago-based rapper Serengeti) just released their new album ‘Testarossa‘ via Joyful Noise Recordings, and now they’ve shared a video for album track Madeline. You can watch the video, which features a split-screen of Yoni & Serengeti going about their days via YouTube below.
Soundtracking a script that Yoni & Serengeti wrote while on tour together, ‘Testarossa’ tells the story of star-crossed lovers Maddy & Davy, and their crumbling relationship and lives. A soundtrack for the cold Decembers and dark memories, it presents Davy as the lovable underdog who chased his dreams so relentlessly that he lost those he loved the most. There’s an undercurrent of sadness and regret, sin and repentance, and the juxtaposition of bleak reality, the surreal, and dark humour.
