The Black Black announces new EP ‘Adjusted I’

The Black Black

Brooklyn’s The Black Black has announced a new EP, ‘Adjusted I,’ due out on September 30th. A follow up to the post-punk band’s 2014 debut LP ‘Boogie Nights,’ it features four noisy, high-energy tracks anchored by commanding drums and bass. The band once again called on artist Michael P. Sincavage to illustrate all of the album artwork (see below for the cover art.) For a preview of the new release, you can stream lead single You Are My Personal Pronoun via Soundcloud below.

The Black Black builds upon its low-end foundation with screeching guitars and heavy lyrical themes, exploring what it means to be human and grow older while trying to navigate the instability of life and relationships. In an effort not to be a total bummer — while dealing with concepts like the blind proliferation of technology, the debts associated with being born into modern society, and the fragility of the mind — they coat their songs with a heavy dose of thrashy danceability.

The band has an East Coast tour coming up in support of their new EP this fall — stay tuned for dates.
