Anyway Gang have shared their first single, Big Night. The band is made up of members of Sloan, Tokyo Police Club, Hollerado and Sam Roberts Band, and they also announced their debut self-titled album, due out November 29th via Royal Mountain Records. On the genesis of the band, Sam Roberts explained “Anyway Gang is a Frankenstein’s monster of a band with stitched-on limbs provided by Chris, Menno, Sam and Dave. The beast is brainless of course, but it’s gonna be a wild ride!” Watch the video for a Big Night via YouTube below.
Last summer a few friends from some of Canada’s most notable bands got together to write some songs. They mostly made dad jokes but also jammed on a bunch of three chord songs they all had lying around. They recorded a bunch of stuff in a few days and over the year added some ideas here and there and all of a sudden a year had past and they realized they kinda had an album so they said let’s name ourselves the first thing they thought of and release it. Anyway, they’re called Anyway Gang.
