Underground Rock Dreams Do Come True

Alright noise freaks, punk misfits, sludge heads, and lovers of the beautifully bizarre — clear your calendars. The Melvins are closing out 2025 in full thunderous fashion with the ‘Stop Your Whining Tour,’ and they’re bringing along the legendary glam-punk lifers Redd Kross. That’s right — two absolute institutions of underground rock, one tour, zero apologies.

Starting this September, the Melvins will storm across the U.S. on a six-week sonic rampage, slinging riffs, weird vibes, and all the glorious volume you’d expect from a band that’s been smashing genres into each other since 1983. You know the lineup: Buzz Osborne (King Buzzo himself), Dale Crover (percussion wizard and longtime Melvins anchor), Steven McDonald (also of Redd Kross, so yeah — he’ll be pulling double duty), and Coady Willis. They’re still raising hell and putting out records that crush with creativity, like this year’s ‘Thunderball’ — a sludge-pop gem packed with swagger, swamp, and searing sonics.

And Redd Kross? Oh, just the glitter-flecked godfathers of L.A. glam-punk, blending bubblegum hooks with garage grime since the early ’80s. If you haven’t read their new book (Now You’re One Of Us) or caught their documentary (Born Innocent), you’ve got some catching up to do. Or better yet — catch them live and feel it in your bones.

Europe, They’ve Got You Covered Too

Before storming the States, the Melvins hit the EU in July and August — including stops at ArcTanGent, Rock Im Wald, and Blue Moon Festival. It’s a whirlwind of cult venues and summer fests, from Greece to Germany to the UK.

In the Meantime? They’re Touring Now.

The Melvins are currently ripping it up with Napalm Death on the “Savage Imperial Death March II.” That’s a tour name that tells you everything you need to know.

Catch them while you can — because if there’s one thing the Melvins have taught us over 40+ years, it’s that they’ll do exactly what they want, when they want, and they’ll sound absolutely massive doing it.
