Holy Fawn release new standalone track ‘Beneath A Lightless Star’

Holy Fawn Beneath A Lightless Star

Holy Fawn is back with a brand new single, Beneath A Lightless Star—and it’s a heavy one (emotionally and sonically). Released as a standalone track while the band is currently storming across North America with Rivers of Nihil, this one’s got all the signature grit and glow fans have come to crave.

The song is their first new release since 2023’s ‘Glóandi’, and it follows up their atmospheric 2022 full-length, ‘Dimensional Bleed’. This time around, the Arizona crew takes a darker, more visceral turn.

Frontman Ryan Osterman puts it simply: “With ‘Beneath A Lightless Star’ we wanted to release something with more emotional grit that mirrored the frustration with the state of the world.”

And yeah—it feels like that. Moody, thunderous, beautifully raw. If you haven’t checked out the visualizer by Joel Villegas yet, do yourself a favour and get lost in it below.

A Quick Holy Fawn Recap:

If you’re new to the Holy Fawn universe, here’s the lowdown:
They’ve released two stunning albums—‘Death Spells’ (2018) and ‘Dimensional Bleed’ (2022)—alongside a couple of ethereal EPs: ‘The Black Moon’ (2020) and ‘Realms’ (2015).

Critics can’t get enough either:

  • Stereogum called them “impossible to ignore”
  • Paste said they “hold the sublime and the saturnine in equal reverence”
  • Revolver praised ‘Dimensional Bleed’ as a high point for post-rock-meets-metal experimentation
