Melbourne-based duo Mystic Tea Party are back with a brand new single, The Looking Glass — and it’s every bit as eerie, cinematic, and emotionally rich as their name suggests.
Blending alt-pop, trip-hop, and dark electronica, the track feels like stepping into a foggy dream you don’t quite want to leave. It’s moody and immersive, with layers that unfold the more you listen. Written and produced entirely by the band themselves, Mystic Tea Party continue to prove that they’re carving out their own lane — and doing it on their own terms.
They’re a fully independent project, and proud of it. Sebastian, one half of the duo, says the goal has always been to make music that feels — deeply, honestly, and without filter. And while they’ve been busy touring across Australia, plans are already in motion to take the show overseas to the UK and Europe.
The Looking Glass is out now and ready to wrap itself around your ears. You can check it out through their official site at mysticteaparty.com or via the usual streaming platforms.
