Angine de Poitrine are bringing their weird, wonderful world to a city near you

If you haven’t been paying attention to Angine de Poitrine yet, now’s the time to fix that — because the microtonal cardboard duo are officially bringing their mind-bending live show to more cities across North America, and the demand has been nothing short of wild.

The anonymous duo — known only as Khn de Poitrine (microtonal guitars, vocals) and Klek de Poitrine (percussion, vocals) — have announced a wave of newly added headline dates on the back of overwhelming fan demand, including first-ever performances in several US cities. We’re talking Denver, Washington DC, Brooklyn, Atlanta, Nashville, Minneapolis, Los Angeles, Oakland, and Portland, among others. And that’s on top of an already stacked schedule packed with sold-out club shows, major festival slots, and a one-night-only opening set for Jack White at Toronto’s RBC Amphitheatre on July 14.

Presale signups are live now exclusively via Laylo — sign up and you’ll get a unique code for the official presale kicking off Tuesday, May 19 at 10:00 am local time. Local presales open May 21, with general on-sale starting May 22 at 10:00 am local. Full ticket info at anginedepoitrine.com/concerts.

Who Are These People, Exactly?

That’s kind of the whole beautiful mystery, isn’t it? Angine de Poitrine are an anonymous artistic project — any speculation about who’s behind the costumes is unverified and very much beside the point. What is the point is that their music is genuinely extraordinary: intricate, pulsing, dissonant, and somehow completely euphoric. The New York Times called it “a feat of live unity and dexterity, hand played with zero margin for error.” Pitchfork said they’re “a beacon that North America is once again ready for art-fucky noise rock bands.” The Guardian called their live show “an ecstatic balance of supremely complex musicianship with ridiculous good fun.” We’d say all of the above tracks.

Their KEXP session has crossed 13 million views and counting — which tells you everything about how this band translates even through a screen. In a room? Reportedly another dimension entirely.

‘Vol. I’ and ‘Vol. II’ Hit Record Stores June 12

Here’s more good news: both of Angine de Poitrine’s acclaimed albums — 2024’s ‘Vol. I’ and 2026’s ‘Vol. II’ — are finally getting a wide physical release on vinyl and CD globally on Friday, June 12. This is the result of a series of groundbreaking worldwide distribution agreements designed to support the duo’s momentum while keeping their independence fully intact. Pre-orders are open now.

‘Vol. II’, released in April 2026, is a brisk, high-voltage record that pushes the duo’s sonic vocabulary even further. Three forces drive the whole thing: acid techno, disco, and rock — which, yes, sounds like a recipe for something extraordinary. Standout track Fabienk is a perfect example of how they operate: a single microtonal guitar loop that repeats, doubles, and evolves through a groove that somehow feels both relentless and free.
