Darkstar remix Ólafur Arnalds & Nils Frahm

Darkstar

Darkstar have remixed Ólafur Arnalds & Nils Frahm’s track ‘Four.’ James from Darkstar says of the remix “We were sent a link earlier in the year to the Nils and Ólafur project and ended up sampling the chromatic percussion and building a remix of sorts around that. The original track is a great piece and our interpretation is something that evolves and mutates around a guitar riff Aiden started playing while we played through the original.” Take a listen to the reworking via Soundcloud below.

The original is available on Ólafur Arnalds & Nils Frahm’s ‘Loon’ 12” EP / ‘Collaborative Works’ 2-CD set released on Erased Tapes. For more information, visit arnaldsfrahm.com or erasedtapes.com

The duo are also taking part in the Barbican’s Panic!: What Happened to Social Mobility in the Arts?’ series, which included a talk with talk with Stuart Maconie (6Music DJ), Jude Rogers (Guardian and music critic) and various others on Pop Culture & Privilege last week.
