Yukon Blonde release new track ‘Saturday Night’

Yukon Blonde press shot

Yukon Blonde have been hard at work in the studio for the past year and have revealed a new track that is lifted from their forthcoming album. Working with engineer and co-producer Colin Stewart (Black Mountain, Dan Mangan, Sleepy Sun) at The Hive throughout 2014, and mixer Tony Hoffer (M83, Beck, Foster the People, Air, Depeche Mode), the band prepare to expand their reputation for seamlessly crafted pop songs, cocktails of psychedelic and synthetic sounds on its upcoming record. The band have revealed the first taste of its forthcoming material with the funk-laden new track Saturday Night – take a listen via Soundcloud below.

Yukon Blonde’s sophomore album ‘Tiger Talk’ (2012) cemented their place in the indie pop genre with hooky choruses and dynamics. More visceral and instantly accessible than its predecessors, the band has revealed the single Saturday Night as a taste of what is to come on their 3rd studio album coming this summer. A true weekend jammer, the track is an impossibly infectious and unique mix of indie pop and rock.

The band heads into SXSW this week and will join Lieutenant (Nate Mendel, bassist for Foo Fighters & Sunny Day Real Estate) on the road later in March – see list of dates below.
