New York’s own electronic post-punk force, Public Circuit, are back with their brand new single, To The Grave. The track offers a hauntingly shimmering slice of melancholic electro-pop and sets the stage for their upcoming album ‘Modern Church,’ out September 12 via à La Carte Records.
To The Grave hits like a pulsing confession—crashing, twinkling, and grappling with all the heavy emotions we tend to bury. Speaking on the track, the band explained:
“Life is frail – Many people live a life where they never fully resolve trauma, hatred, etc., and, therefore, take it to the grave with them. Whether it be childhood trauma, gender expression / exploration, or failed romances; this song is inspired by moments left unresolved or, otherwise, unspoken.”
The accompanying video doubles down on that theme. Think glitchy home-movie vibes with a dark twist: the band literally digging their own graves, complete with their signature medieval-inspired aesthetic. It’s eerie, theatrical, and very Public Circuit.
Modern Church follows the recent single Samson, a razor-sharp commentary on fragile masculinity that drew early attention from outlets like Notion, Hard of Hearing, and Soundvsystem. If those tracks are any indication, the album promises something sharp, brooding, and entirely their own—post-punk spliced with flickering electronics, ritualistic rhythms, and the glossy ache of sophisti-pop.
Public Circuit aren’t just sitting still, either. This fall, they’re heading out on a massive North American and European tour. In Europe, they’ll join the lineup at Berlin’s 8mm Festival alongside A Place To Bury Strangers and Snapped Ankles, and hit the Netherlands for Left of the Dial festival.

About Public Circuit
Formed in 2023, Public Circuit—Ethan Biamont, Sean Holloway, and Nelson Fisher—don’t just play post-punk, they pull it apart and rebuild it into something sharper, darker, and strikingly modern. Their music is part ritual, part rebellion, and deeply tied to the chaos and noise of New York City. With ‘Modern Church,’ they’re pushing the genre further, exploring identity, fleeting faith, and unresolved trauma through a sound that feels like both candlelit ceremony and neon-soaked rave.
After a breakout debut in 2024, packed with sold-out shows and festival stops at New Colossus, Hopscotch, and MACROCK, Public Circuit are ready to spread their gospel further with ‘Modern Church’ this fall.
