Dublin three-piece Bucket are back with a bang, sharing their latest single DNB—a breakbeat-fuelled noise-rock spiral that twists and turns in all the right ways.

Following their 2025 debut EP ‘Muck’ and a standout showcase at Eurosonic, Bucket are gearing up for a busy spring and summer with confirmed appearances at ArcTanGentFOCUS Wales, and Sniester Festival.

A Trip to Bristol Sparks Chaos

Mixed and engineered by Dublin electronic producer James Eager (Lankum, The Scratch), DNB came to life after the band took a trip to Bristol, soaking up a wave of drum and bass that pushed them to experiment. What started as two separate ideas eventually merged into one restless, shape-shifting track. Abrupt shifts, volatile arrangements, and a constant sense of unraveling make ‘DNB’ a ride that keeps listeners on their toes.

Vocalist Cian Dahdouh explains:

“Lyrically, the song deals with themes of social anxiety and mania. The narrator is having an internal meltdown as they consistently fail to understand other people’s humour. Not getting a joke is somewhat of a universal experience. I wanted to imagine the most manic or psychotic reaction an individual could have in that situation and make their thoughts sound extremely dramatic and somewhat poetic.”

From DIY Chaos to Uncompromising Noise-Rock

Bucket’s trajectory has been explosive. Guitarist/vocalist Cian Dahdouh and bassist Emmet McNamee first met in college, blending garage-punk and metal/hardcore roots into DIY-fueled live shows that quickly became the stuff of legend. From sold-out gigs at The Workman’s Club in Dublin to tearing through DIY spaces across Ireland, the band honed a chaotic, sweat-soaked live energy.

Standalone singles like Who Knows? and Budgie hinted at their evolving sound, while 2025’s ‘Muck’ EP cemented their noise-rock credentials. Now joined by drummer Korey Thomas (Bricknasty), Bucket operate with a heavier, more rhythm-driven intensity—perfectly showcased on DNB.

With new releases lined up throughout 2026, Bucket are quickly establishing themselves as one of Ireland’s most uncompromising new acts.
