Olympia, Washington’s post-punks, Underpass, have announced that their debut EP, ‘Assimilation,’ which will be available on August 26, 2014 via Desire Records. You can stream or download the EP’s first single, Side, via Soundcloud below.
Formed in 2013, Underpass creates dark heavy punk by incorporating large atmospheric synths, deep echoing base lines with “Robert Smith kissed” guitar compositions and haunting vocals. ‘Assimilation’ was recorded in Vancouver, BC over the course of two sleepless days and nights by Josesph Hirobiashi, then mastered by Mell Dettmer (Earth, Sunn O))).
