LA-based post-punk band Kills Birds have shared their new single, Rabbit. It’s the first track lifted from their forthcoming album, ‘Married,’ out via Royal Mountain Records and KRO Records on November 12th.

Led by Bosnian-born, Windsor, ON-raised Nina Ljeti, the band are back following their debut self-titled record that was released quietly in 2019. While the record didn’t have a wide rollout, it garnered a lot of love from spots like NYLON, The FADER, New York Times, Paste, Chicago Tribune for the band’s ferocious sound, and made them a couple high profile fans including the likes of Kim Gordon and Dave Grohl. The latter invited the band to use his studio, Studio 606, to record their latest album, using the legendary Neve 8028 soundboard AKA the console used to record Nirvana’s ‘Nevermind,’ Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Rumours,’ Rage Against The Machine and more.

Rabbit, the album opener is an immediate declaration of intent from Kills Birds. Brutal and intense, it’s an unflinching account of an abusive relationship struggling with power dynamics, and it oscillates between quiet and loud dynamics – both beautiful and aggressive, devastating and cathartic.
