NXNE has announced the return of Future Land, a one-day conference presenting a platform for industry experts and artists to discuss all elements of the music, digital, gaming and interactive worlds. Featuring SXSW Co-founder Louis Black, Dreyuh Safo (Rap Season), Jasmyn Burke (Weaves), Raina Douris (CBC Radio 2) and more, this year’s contributing speakers comprise a variety of roles and influence across the industry landscape. Future Land also welcomes Intersessions, a production panel and workshop with Kat Duma, Harrison and Shifra Rifka hosted by Chippy Nonstop. Intersessions and shesaid.so bring a production panel and workshop to the NXNE Future Lands on June 21st, 2017. Featured instructors Kat Duma, Harrison and Shifra Rifka will rundown their music production processes in a panel discussion hosted by Chippy Nonstop, followed by a tutorial highlighting beat breakdowns, recording, songwriting and a walk-through of Ableton.
Interessions is a workshop series of artist run seminars aims to address the significant gender and sexuality based imbalance within the music industry, offering DJ and sound focused workshops for women, and those within the LGBTQ+ spectrum.
