TOMS and Charlize Theron launch limited edition CTAOP shoe collection

Charlize Theron

One for One company TOMS just announced its third partnership with actress Charlize Theron and the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Program (CTAOP). They are releasing a limited edition women’s shoe now available for Canadians at TOMS.ca.

With every TOMS + CTAOP product purchased, TOMS will donate $5 to CTAOP that will support programs working to help African youth keep themselves safe from HIV/AIDS. As always, with every pair of shoes purchased, TOMS will give a new pair of shoes to a child in need.

“We can be the generation that ends AIDS,” said Theron.

CTAOP was founded by Theron in 2007 to help support African youth in the fight against HIV/AIDS. The charity’s geographic reach spans across Sub-Saharan Africa, though the area of focus is Theron’s home country of South Africa.

Just launched, Canadians can get the TOMS + CTAOP limited edition Navy Avalon Slip-Ons for women ($70 CAD) at TOMS.ca.

More about TOMS?

While traveling in Argentina in 2006, TOMS Founder Blake Mycoskie witnessed the hardships faced by children growing up without shoes. Wanting to help, he created TOMS, a company that would match every pair of shoes purchased with a new pair of shoes for a child in need. One for One®.

What began as a simple idea has evolved into a powerful business model. Realizing that One for One could serve other basic needs, TOMS launched other products including TOMS Eyewear in 2011, TOMS Roasting Co. in 2014, and TOMS Bags and TOMS Backpack Collection in 2015. In keeping with the One for One promise, purchases of these products help improve the lives of people in need by helping restore sight, providing safe water, supporting safe birthing practices, and aiding bullying prevention programs. TOMS is in business to improve lives. With every product you purchase, TOMS will help a person in need. One for One®.

More about Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Program?

Charlize Theron founded CTAOP in 2007 in an effort to support African youth in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Although the geographic scope of CTAOP is Sub-Saharan Africa, the primary area of focus is Charlize’s home country of South Africa. CTAOP’s approach is based on the belief that community-based organizations on the ground understand the social and structural relationships of their communities better than anyone. By supporting these organizations through grant giving, networking, and spotlighting their work, CTAOP enables communities to mobilize and empower themselves to prevent HIV.
