CLIFFFS release new single ‘Portland to Vermont’

CLIFFFS

CLIFFFSDallas based musician John Dufilho describes his latest band CLIFFFS as producing “minimalist punk rock inspired songs with only three or four chords”. And that’s exactly what the band’s debut album ‘Bill, You’re Only Human’ delivered on its release in June 2016, but it also gave listeners so much more. The album is a perfectly pitched fusion of modern garage and retro fuzz punk, big on melody and infused with infectious energy.

Portland to Vermont, the second single to be released from CLIFFFS debut LP, is a riproaring journey into the band’s sound. The song delivers everything a modern classic could, in less than two highly charged and intoxicating minutes. Watch the video via YouTube below.

John Dufilho is one of America’s most prolific musicians. He released five albums with Indie Rock band The Deathray Davies before becoming the drummer for psychedelic pop legends The Apples in Stereo in 2006. His lifelong love for The Ramones and Sixties Garage Rock is a direct influence on the CLIFFFS sound. “We wanted to make the simplest statement. A few chords, a lot of energy.” John explains. “It’s not an easy thing, making something so minimal. I’m super proud of our record.”
